In the past, interfaces were very normal programs developed with any programming language. This involved creating the program, compiling it, running it to do tests, etc…. Not to mention the production release and subsequent modifications.
Today the market provides tools to facilitate the management of this particular type of activity. We have relied on Altova, an Austrian company that provides a series of products for the “mapping” of the tracks. In particular we refer to MapForce and FlowForce.
MapForce
Mapforce is divided into two products: a desktop application for the actual creation of the mapping and a server-side product for their execution.
FlowForce
FlowForce is instead the server component that allows you to schedule the operational flow of the interface: from file retrieval (folder, ftp, webservice, etc. …) to the conversion of the same using the MapForce mappings.
